Oil Pulling with Coconut Oil

Oil Pulling is the traditional Ayurvedic method of detoxifying & healing the body. It's a very simple process however it yields some magnificent results. Most noted are whiter teeth, softer feet, healed gums, tightened loose teeth, fresher breath, & better overall health. The act of actually swirling or swishing the oil around in your mouth activates the eliminatory system & the enzymes draw toxins out of the blood without disturbing the healthy microflora necessary to the body.

The act is simplicity itself, squeeze a tablespoon of oil onto a spoon, pop it in your mouth & swish, swirl, & suck it between your teeth. The keys for it to be 100% effective are to swish on an empty stomach & to keep it going for 20 minutes.  While many people find other activities to do while "swishing", a calm or meditative state is recommended. When your 20 minutes is up...Don't swallow it! It's now full of toxic waste fromYOUR body! Tips for a Successful Swish

To guarantee an empty stomach try pulling first thing in the morning before breakfast, a great way to start your day! 20 minutes can seem like a long time in the beginning, start yourself out slow at 5 or 10 minutes & work your way up. Before you know it, it will have become second nature. And instead of spitting it in the trash, keep an old pickle or coconut oil jar under the bathroom sink to spit into & dispose of it all at once. Another wise tip is to pre-mix your salt water & keep it in a container in your medicine cabinet (next to your tube of coconut oil) so it's a hassle free rinse.
